What if I have an emergency while my telephone is being used?
Rescue Alert has a special circuit inside that disconnects your phone call with the telephone connected to the rear of the unit so the emergency call has priority.
Does it work with cordless telephone?
Yes! The Rescue Alert is simply connected to the base of the cordless telephone. Rescue Alert is designed to access the telephone line when the handset is away from the cordless telephone base.
Can I get help if I fall in my back yard?
Yes! The push-button has a range up to 1,000 feet from the Rescue Alert home unit.
Can I still get help if the power fails?
Yes! Rescue Alert uses a rechargeable battery that provides uninterrupted service for up to ninety (90) hours after the power goes out.
What happens if my respondents have an answering machine?
The Rescue Alert Response Center will call the next respondent, and continue monitoring the emergency until help arrives.
Is my Personal Help Button waterproof?
Yes! Your Personal Help Button may be worn in the tub or the shower. Water will not hurt the button.
If I move, can I take my Rescue Alert with me?
Yes! Simply unplug the Rescue Alert unit from the wall, and turn it off. Then when you arrive to your new place, simply plug the unit in and turn it on and press your button and update the Response Center Attendant of your new address and information.
How can I check to see if my Rescue Alert is working?
Simply push your personal help button that you are wearing and tell the Emergency Response Center Attendant that you are testing your unit. Your respondents will not be disturbed by this test. Response Center Attendants are available 24 hours a day, allowing you to test at your convenience.
What if I don’t have a landline phone service or want to disconnect the one I have, can I still have Rescue Alert?
Yes! Rescue Alert offers the very same service through our cellular service. Our cellular LTE unit uses its own cellular service and minutes.
When is the best time to obtain a Rescue Alert?
NOW! Many people wait unit it is too late or until the system has been needed once before obtaining service. Do not wait until a loved one falls and lies helpless in a time of need. Act now for their Security and Peace of Mind and your Peace of Mind also!

What if I am outside and you can’t hear me?
An attendant will attempt to establish voice contact with you using the speaker on the base unit. If you do not respond the attendant will then follow our training and procedures, such as calling your home telephone, your cell phone, and your list of responders in the order you have provided, or call your local emergency services.
Will my LTE unit affect my personal cell phone?
Your LTE unit will not interfere with any aspect of your own personal cell phone.
How can the Rescue Alert system help me to be safe at home?
It allows you to call for help, even if you are alone and cannot reach or use your telephone or cell phone. Simply press your Personal Help Button and within seconds you will be connected to our response center and someone will be sent to help you.
